Kauai Housing Fair 2011

All homeowners, first-time homebuyers, house hunters and renters should check out the Kauai Housing Fair on Friday June 17, 2011. More than 25 exhibitors will participate in this educational event from tax advisors, home inspectors, appraisers and more. These educational sessions are FREE and open to the public.
Also, don’t miss the Open House at one of Lihue’s newest condos at Kamamalu @ Kauai Lagoons.
Here is a rundown of the different activities, events and sessions planned for the fair.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 1:10 p.m. Opening Ceremony – Mayor Bernard Carvalho
  • 1:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Open House: Kamamalu @ Kauai Lagoons. Tour the units located at the entrance of the Lihue Industrial Center Phase II.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Educational Exhibits
    • 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. – “Preparing to Buy”: First-time homebuyers
    • 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. – Government financial programs & loan modifications
    • 5:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. – VA Initiatives: Loan packages for current & former veterans
    • 6:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. – Property Management: What rights does a tenant have in a foreclosure, disabilities, insurance-renters, pets
    • 7:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. – Insurance: Renters, hurricane, flood
