A New Year!

Happy New Year! I can’t believe a year has passed since I started this adventure of opening my own business. Now that it’s been a year, it’s time for me to reflect on 2010 and the challenges and rewards I experienced over this past year.

Opening my own business was a lot harder than I thought. Although experts always warn you of the difficulty of starting a business, you really don’t understand it until you go through it yourself. Although at times it felt like I wasn’t sure which way was up, I always found my way out and saw the light at the end of each formidable tunnel.

With every obstacle came a chance to gain insight from the experience and strengthen my character.  If we never encountered hardships, we would never grow in our understanding and knowledge of who we are and our abilities. I knew that if I was able to face each challenge head-on, then the end result would be more rewarding. I’m not saying 2010 was a difficult year, just a time of growing pains for my newly-formed business.

Now that 2011 is here, I am looking forward to what the new year brings. This year already started off on a high note with a new real estate agent joining my company. My cousin, Erin Koshi, started this month and I am excited to hear his ideas and plans on helping me expand my business. He brings with him several years of broadcast journalism experience and hotel management skills. I’ve known him his whole life and I know his integrity and work ethic will be vital to this company and my business plan.

I wanted to thank all of you for this past year, and I am looking forward to serving you again in the coming year.
